About Us
United Church of Atwood exists to bring glory to God and His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. We welcome all of those who share this common purpose, as well as those who are seeking a relationship with the Lord of the Universe.
Office Hours
Our Administrative Assistant is available in the church office weekday mornings between the hours of 9 and noon. She is available at other hours of the day by appointment. Our Pastor is available by appointment, but generally is available weekday mornings in his office between the hours of 9 and 12.
Atwood-Hammond Food Pantry
The United Church of Atwood is host to the Atwood-Hammond Food Pantry. The food pantry is open to the public on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 9 to 12 a.m. Questions about the food pantry may be directed to our Administrative Assistant, Doris Elmore. The pantry is available to members of the former Atwood-Hammond school district.
Communion Service
On the first Sunday of each month, we observe the Lord's Supper, as well as on Easter Sunday, and other special occasions. All believers in Christ are invited to participate in the observation of this most sacred of celebrations.
Peace Meal
The Peace Meal Senior Nutrition Program provides quality meals for healthier lives. We help seniors improve their nutrition, sustain their independence and enhance the quality of their lives by providing meals, fellowship and connections to other needed services. Anyone age 60 or older (including spouse regardless of their age) is eligible to participate in Peace Meal. Peace Meal requests a donation of $3.50 per meal. Participants are encouraged to contribute as they are able, but no one will be turned away based on an inability to donate. Contact our office for more information. (217-578-2832)
